(There is an old Sufi story about
three men who found a bag of 17 gold pieces in a field.
They could not decide how to share
the gold so they went to Mullah Nasrudin and
asked him to decide.
He asked them, "Would you have me
divide it as I see fit or as God would do it?"
"As God would do it," they
all said at once.
"Here, then," said the Mullah, "ten
for you, five for you, and two for you.")
